Hi @Ultramanzero,

Thanks for the update,

As I understand you are having an issue with the settings while scanning, let me go ahead and assist you from here.

Let's try these steps here:

1.  Press "Scan"

2.  Press "Scan to network folder".  (or "Scan to USB" or "Scan to Email").

3.  Change the scan settings (size, color/bw, resolution, file format, etc) the way you want it.

4.  BEFORE you press the "Scan" button at the bottom right, press the "Settings" button at the bottom left.

5.  Scroll down (it's off the screen), press "Set as New Defaults".

6.  Now, you can press "Scan" to scan.

The key is step 4.  You can't get to this place from anywhere else.

Here's a related HP Forum post which seems to have helped others: Click here (Please ignore the header as these steps should work for you as well).

Let me know how it goes for further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

Regards,

Thanks for your reply. I know how to set the default in Scan To program.

The problem is how to set in Acrobat Pro. Please see the message below.

Hi @Ultramanzero,

Thanks for the update,

As I understand you are having this issue while in Acrobat. Don't worry as I have a few steps which should help you to resolve this issue.

Let's click on the Options button in the "Document Settings" section of the Custom Scan dialog (it's the section at the bottom of the Custom Scan dialog - the "Option" button is in the middle right-hand side of that third section.) Then under "Optimization Options" Change "Color/Greyscale" section to JPEG.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you contact Acrobat tech support for further assistance. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world

Available and ready to help.

As I said before when I connect Epson scanner using TWAIN drive with the same Acrobat Pro to scan B&W document, everything go straight forward. Nothing happen. But for HP TWAIN driver, a lot of problem occur that I showed you before.

Hi @Ultramanzero,

Thank you for replying,

As I understand you have already exhausted all the steps suggested and still having the issue, I would suggest you give us 72 hours so that we can check this with one of our R&D team on this issue and get back to you with more information.

If you don't hear from me in the next 72 business hours, send me a private message as a reminder.
