I have just bought a new HP computer equipped with windows 8 but when I tried to print from it using my new HP Laser Jet P1005...well you know the story. The solution offered here is clearly not good enough, what would be is precise information from hp on when the driver will be available. I can't work without a printer so I've had to put the old computer back, I'm not going to buy another printer.

Just tell us. HOW DIFFICULT IS TO MAKE A SIMPLE DRIVERS FILE!??

 


Really bothers me. Even my chinese no-brand camera is supported in win8.!!

Sometimes I have to restart the PC, in order to print the files. But other than that the solution works for me.

 

AND STILL no official driver from HP?! Are you really trying to lose customers or what? Don't know about you, but I don't think I'll buy HP again!

It seems that HP is the one that forces us to buy new printers, not Microsoft....

 

But if this is true, my new printer will defenately NOT be an HP!

don't worry, it will stop working, sooner or later :HalfEyes: .

 

Trust me, I have 6 month of testing after me, I know very well how to bring this printer to work  under W8.

It costed a time again and again, reinstallation of W7drivers in compatible mode and port configuration is needed.

But it stops working in some days. Again and again.

It is not acceptable.

 

There is no working solution for W8 and HP LJ p1005 now.

Removed the solution, because It has too many bugs and It's not for continuous work. It stops working whenever It chooses.

 

WE NEED OFFICIAL WIN 8 DRIVER!

Lack of drivers for so long is totally unexceptable. Just bought a new Brother printer for $99 since no drivers for more than five months.  Works beautifully on Windoows 8.This is my last HP Printer and my last post. Goodbye HP forever.
