Hi Vineet3032,

Follow the steps in the document below.

The Printer is Not Found During Wireless Installation

HP designed a quick and easy tool that diagnoses and resolves many printing, scanning, and connectivity problems: The HP Print and Scan Doctor. HP recommends that you download and install the Print and Scan Doctor any time you need to troubleshoot a problem with your HP printer from the link below.

Let me know what errors you receive?

I have run the HP Printer and Scanner Doctor if the printer is plugged into the USB port the program detects the printer and then gives the options connect via USB, Wireless or Wired ...

Connecting via USB shows no problems and I can print a test page.

It won't connect Wirelessly

There is no wired interface on this printer

I will contact the HP Support Center tomorrow to see if they can help debug ... or I might just try and set the router to the 192.168.2.x network and see what happens.

Doh!!!!!

When I finally started tracing all the hardware it turned out that someone installed a 2nd wireless router in a different part of the building to increase coverage on the lower level, but it had the same SSID.

Depending on where you were in the building you connected to the 192.168.0.x or 192.168.2.x networks.  The computers just happened to connect to the 192.168.0.x network and the printer due to it's location connected to the 192.168.2.x network.

Once I set it up that there was only  a single network rather than 2 with the same SSID things worked much better.

Thanks for the support and listening to me whine ...

The printer is working just fine and the customer can print from any of her PC's ... just like it should.

HP Scan utility is useless in my case. Since the printer is unable to get IP address from router, it does not appear on the Network. The utility can not find it on the Network.
The router I am using has okay. There are several other deivces which are using it's DHCP server and working well.

Please verify your router in on the latest firmware.  If not upgrade it.  What is the make and model of the router?  Reset the printer back to its default settings following the manuals instructions.  Set a static IP outside the DHCP range of the router (instructions in the router manual).  Use a fixed wireless channel like 1,6 or 11, never 'auto'.  Power off router and printer.  Power on router, wait 2 mins.  Power on printer and connect to your SSID using your password.  Now try.

Hi Martin29549,

Glad to hear the issue has been resolved. Having more than one network will cause the issues you were seeing. Have a wonderful day.

Hello, Martin.

I have the some issue: my post about this problem

pcwizardcan we expect that this problem will be fixed in future firmware updates?

Hi LexaR,

if you have more than one wireless network in range of this printer you need to make sure that you have it connected to the same network the computer is connected to. Nothing we do in the firmware will resolve this type of issue.

pcwizard, thanks for your answer. But let me describe the problem. I have two routers with same SSID. First router works as router with DHCP on, second router works as AP with DHCP off. Second router connected to the first by ethernet. All my wifi device works fine (laptop, android tablet and smartphone). But, 1102w can't connect to the wireless network. Blue led is blinking and printer can't connect to router. 1102w immediately connect to the router when i switch off the second router . If i switch on the second router - printer can't connect to the network. I changed ip to static - can't connect. When i changed SSID on second router - printer connected and work fine. As i understood - printer can't connect to network if there is two router with same SSID. I think it's firmware problem.

Hi LexaR,

You should never have two routers named with the same SSID. This is why you are having issues. If you want to use one as an AP you still need to assign a different SSID to identify it on the network. Having the routers named the same just causes the wireless devices to have trouble identifying which one they are to be using. I would suggest naming one with a number at the end to identify the AP or you can purchase an AP instead of using a second router as an AP device. Firmware in the printer is designed to look at one SSID name, and if you have more than one network in the home or business using the same SSID then yes it will cause issues with getting the printer connected. You will continue to have issues unless you change one of the SSID's to a different name. Have a wonderful day.
