Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It was time to get a new computer.  Old one was running XP.  New one is on Windows 10.   Using an HP M1319f MFP printer.  On the XP computer, printing and scanning worked fine.   On Windows 10 computer, only the printing works. I downloaded all the latest drivers but still no luck in getting the scanning function to work.

Anybody know why?

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! After reading your post I see that your HP LaserJet M1319f printer is not scanning after windows 10 update. I would like to help you out with this issue today.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • How is the printer connected to the computer, through USB or wireless?

Meanwhile:

  • Restart devices and check driver scan settings.
  • Run the Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
  • Check Windows Image Acquisition settings.
  • Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".

Let me know how you make out.

Cheers.
