I have a 2-1/2 year old HP enterprise M605 that suddenly started printing a grey are in the middle of the paper.  It is not the cartridge as I tried another one and still get the same result.  HP tells me the printer is bad and they'll see me a new one with $50 off, but $60 to ship it overnight.

I am incredibly unhappy with their customer service.  They insist there are no other reports of this issue, but I don't really believe that.  Anyone else having problems with this same model?

I will not be buying another HP produce of any kind!

Post the document you printed here it'll be more helpfol.

From what's your brief description I'll say that the transfer(iTB) belt is the issue.

Can you clarify your issue please. Is the printer dark on the edges and light in the center?  If so, what is your office environment like? Often this type of issue is caused by dirt in the scanner assembly or a bad power supply.
