Thank you for this!  I was excited and encouraged!

I went to "My Printers" and to the bottom left as suggested, full of hope... but I didn't see "Open to Anyone".   There IS a section that was already selected "Share this printer with any HP account user".  And you can add specific emails in a box below that as well, so while there I added my 2nd email address (g-m**l).  My first email address was already sitting there as the "owner".  I tried to add it manually, since Mimecast has put that address on hold, but it didn't add it, calling it a duplicate address.

I haven't yet tested whether my putting the 2nd email in there made any difference to getting an email to the printer from that address.  That might be a work-around....

Did I miss something?

So, though the system knows my email as me, it still put my emails to my own printer on hold.

I think you may have missed a step. Try this way in HP Smart  - Click “Printers” on the left menu, then you’ll see your printer listed. Click the “Printer Options”  hyperlink on this page. Then on the next page, scroll down and “ePrint” is on the left bottom. That is where you select “Open to Anyone.”

Has anyone got this to work? I have my ePrint Access set to  "Open to Anyone", but I still get the printed page saying my messages are on hold.

I had the same issue too. Printed a very important document remotely and was informed that a page was printed out about Mimecast. MIMECAST COULD HAVE SENT ME AN EMAIL TO RESOLVE IT BUT NO THEY PRINTED OUT A PAGE. I did not even know how to revolve it until I got back home and that information was questionable.

HP This was executed very poorly.

Milkshake53 - were you able to resolve it? In one of the other strings on this topic, someone suggested a hard reset of the printer. I tried it this morning - no luck.

I hve a message from HP Mimecast that I currently have a message ON HOLD. How can I PERMIT this message?

I talked to HP, and they said  to log onto HP Smart  - Click “Printers” on the left menu, then you’ll see your printer listed. Click the “Printer Options”  hyperlink on this page. Then on the next page, scroll down and “ePrint” is on the left bottom. Select “Open to Anyone.”

It worked for me, but it has not for others.

I want to bump this and hopefully HP can offer a permanent solution.  I have set permissions to allow anyone and also put in my email addresses to permit.   Either way, no printouts come thru.  I did get a print out about Mimecast and I have used Mimecast at my business, which is a great anti spam/security filter. But these emails should NOT be going thru mimecast.  Just allow them to go to the printers!  Not just mine.  But everyone's!  And hopefully an HP tech would read this and escalate to the next level.  This is beyond level 2 support. Thank you.

Yes, this! This is on their spam filter's side. Some of my emails are going through and some don't - if they want a better spam filter implementation they should let us access this so we could actually allow wrongly filtered emails.
