i have had this printer for over 6 months and all of a sudden it won't scan to my computer

it says OCR application not found on your computer.

i am not tech savvy so i really don't know how to find what system my computer is running

need help please

i have uninstalled and reinstalled with the disk.  full version.....i am clueless!!!

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that you are getting a message saying OCR application is not found on the computer when you scan. 

Don't worry, I will be glad to help. 

Are you able to print and make a copy on the printer? (This would let you know if the printer is working fine.)

What is the operating system installed on your computer?

 

Request you to review the scanning specifications of your printer. Click here for the specifications. 

Your printer does not support OCR. Please try to scan as PDF or image and check if you are able to scan.
