My HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer accepts 8 1/2 x 14 paper but I cannot find the means to have it print the whole page - it continues to print only the letter size.  How do I get it to print the entire legal size?

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Have you installed the FULL feature software?  If not, can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:

The following resource will help you :

http://123.hp.com/us/en/

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have installed, you should be able to select the legal size from the Print menu.

For copy, can you setup the tray management to be Legal size paper?

1. From the front panel, swipe down and go to "Settings"

2. Select "Tray and Paper Settings" > "Paper settings" > Tray 1 > set the paper size to "Legal"

Try your Copy job, it should copy legal size correctly.

Hope that helps.

Followed your steps but no change to panel.  Does this not work with USB cable?  The choice I have in the settings is Paper size and Type.  The 8 1/2 x 11 is not lit and no other choices are offered.  There is only one tray on this model.
