I have recently purchased the HP OfficeJet 6950 and having trouble scanning double sided through the document feeder. Even when I select the "Two-sided" option in "Document scan otpions" it only scans one side! please help!

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

As per specs, the printer only supports single sided scanning:

ADF scanning
Single-sided

However, if you use the HP Scan software, you can maunally insert the documents and scan the 2nd side and the software will arrange it in the right order.

If you have not installed the FULL feature software, this resource will be helpful:

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

This example will show you how to scan using the software to scan a 2 sided document using the ADF:

(note the Officejet Pro 6960 series also supports 1 sided scanning for the ADF, similar to the printer you have)

HP Officejet Pro 6960 series : Scan a 6 pages 2 sided document using the ADF

Hope that helps!
