Step #6 explains how to change the printer DHCP IP to a Static IP.
I think you should contact HP support.
Open this link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Enter your product number or select to auto detect
Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number will appear.

Hi Slave_to_work, that would be hard to pin point not knowing your hardware set-up.
Is this a new install?
Do you have the same problem using the RJ45 port?

I have an idea. This printer is a piece of garbage
After I had it for about six months and the print head went bad. Keep in mind I print very little.
I like countless others had to send back the computer I bought new six months earlier and get a refurbished printer.
The refurbished one, like the new one I bought go offline constantly, I check firewalls, printer settings turn everything on and off, unplug replug, stand on one foot hopping while scratching my nose and the only result is frustration.
How can they put out a piece of crap like this and think they will keep customers?

Got to:
Settings>Devices>Printers & Scanners>Reltaed Settings, Devices & Scanners> Printers, HP Office Jet Pro 6380 (green checked mark)
Rigt click on HP Office Jet Pro 6380>Troubleshoot
