HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 All-in-One Printer

I have an HP officejet 8020 that I have put brand new cartridges in and it will only print in black and white. I have shut it down, cleaned the print heads, tried a second set of new cartridges, tried the old spent cartiridges, and have even sent print requests from various devices, such as a PC through the most up to date version of the HP Smart app, and an iPad. I feel like I have done just about everything I can think of aside from a factory reset or taking it in to get serviced. Looking for some other idea to trouble shoot what is going on here. Thank you!

@Stuart_BH

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

  • Did you make a copy and check if that prints fine?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure. Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
