Hi there, Since the upgrade of my Mac to Monterey 12.2.1, my OfficeJet Pro 90.25 doesn' print anymore. I see a message mentioning "Looking for printer" ...
Printer is on the same network, even visible by the HP Smart ... Since It was not working, I deleted it from the Mac OS settings, but no way I can add it anymore.
It looks like there are no drivers available for Monterey 12.2.1 ???
Can you please help in here because I need to print asap and enjoy my HP Instant Ink subscription
😉
If I try to add it from the MacOS setting, the printer is seen but I am obliged to use a "driver" which is not in the list ... looks like there is no driver available for the OfficeJet 9025 in Monterey ??
And using HP Smart, the printer is there and I can access its setting from the Mac, but there is no automatic procedure to "install" it (the drivers) neither ...
Can Support help in here ?
Many thanks !!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Hello @Betty0610.
this is the first thing I checked and both my MAC as well as my OfficeJet Pro 9020 are up to date.
Issue happened after the installation of latest MACOS Monterey. When trying to print, it says "Looking for printer" and shows the printer as disconnected, see below :
but when you look at the printer setup, all seems good :
even the ping on the network from the computer to the printer :
and HP Smart is there as well :
... with the printer parameters :
I have read a lot of complaints related to the HP drivers on different printers linked to the upgrade to Monterey ... some suggesting that HP drivers are not ready yet for Monterey ... can you please confirm ?
What is the driver version I should be using issued by HP for Monterey, and how can I check it ?
I do not understand why the printer is showned as "disconnected" as indicated and you can see in the printscreens above, all seems to be ok network wise and printer is awake ...
Appreciate your support in here,
Many thanks !

Hi @Delecole
.. .. .. .. .. ...
First download and install the HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:
Then go to Preferences > Printers then Add the printer, follow the steps from the next video:

Thank you @FerRX... are you sure this is applicable for Office JEt Pro 9020 ?
As for this printer, the procedure is normally to install HP Smart which will care of installing the right drivers ... so I am lost now ...
You seem to say drivers are coming from Apple and not HP ....
I have followed your entire procedure but when I try to add the printer at the end of the procedure, I do not get the printer model, but instead I get "Generic PCL printer"
... so not sure where this driver package is coming from.
P.S. and again, are the drivers supposed to be provided by Apple or HP ? I would imagine HP right ?!
Many thanks,
