HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z all-in-one series wireless.
When I press and release the power button, it does not start and no lights appear.
If I press and hold the power button down for about one minute, the printer lights up and functions just fine.
To shut the printer down I need to hold the power button down for about a minute.

Hi @Tonyey20,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see the power button on your HP Officejet 4500 is non responsive, if you press and hold the button for a minute the printer will light up and function as normal.
I would like you to start troubleshooting here: The HP Printer Won't Turn On or Respond When the Power Button is Pressed
Please let me know the outcome. I will watch for your reply.
Thanks,

I am having the same problem. The copier scan light glows when the power is on, but the printer otherwise appears dead, and the front panel is completely unresponsive.
Furthermore, the hold-the-start-button-down-for-a-minute trick does NOT work.
Any suggestions out there?
Thanks,
Brice

I tryed all things in the document but none solved the problem. So, I assume it is the printer. Once I get the printer started, I never turn it off. It goes to sleep after a while but wakes when I need it. That solves the problem for now. Thank you for the help.
