I am experienceing the same problem. This is the second HP printer I have had this problem with and I not at all pleased with it. I just bought  ink for  each one black/ color. These  inks aren't freeor cheap. They are quite pricey. What good is this to me when these cartridges can't fit any other printer. If this problem can't be solved I'm out of $47.00 plus tax.

I am sorry to say this, but this printer is one giant piece of **bleep**.

 

Having the same problem even with the expensive hp cartridges which I refuse to buy. Every other printer on the market is completely fine  with aftermarket cartriges except this one. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER!!!

 

If you are lucky enough to get this printer working you will only get about 30 pages before it starts having problems again. If it is not the usual "cartridge **bleep**", you will have colour issues.

 

So I would expect some kind firmware update or some meaningful solution to this from hp. Thanks.
