officejet 4652
Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

I just bought a HP Officejet 4652 all in one printer/scanner/fax.  I can print to it and I can copy but I am having trouble getting it to scan.  I can sometimes get one scan in and then when I go to do a second scan it can't find the computer.

It will also have trouble in the scan fix reading the drivers.  Should I just take this back and try a different maching?  So frustrated.

Hi,

Thanks for using the forum.  Can you try the following:

Please Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR) tool to diagnose and fix your problem

Hope that helps.

I should have posted that I have run that print & scan dr. so many times and it says it has trouble on the "check drivers" .  I got it to scan 1 time and then it just keeps saying that the scanner can't find the computer.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

Do you have any other HP printer drivers installed that you are not using?

Is it possible to uninstall any old printer drivers that you are not using?

Also, have you got any other computers that is not using Win Vista? You may want to try that  and see if the issue persist.

PS: Have you tried to do an uninstall and a reinstall of the software drivers ?

Thanks.
