Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm using the above referenced 5610 on Win 7. I can't access HP Solution Center -->settings-->printer toolbox. I'm quite sure my existing cartridges are not still under warranty. If I buy new ones and they don't solve the issues, exchanging them wouldn't solve anything.

Hello takpro

After re-reading all your posts it sounds like you may have a hardware problem, most likely with the power supply. In the Slow Printing in Windows: Hardware Issues article the last step is to replace the power supply. When it comes to Slow Printing if it takes more than 60 seconds to complete a page this points to a hardware problem rather than software.

While I am uncertain as to the validity of the information Netbench provided if what he stated is correct then the problems you have been having point to the power supply.

At this point I would suggest contacting HP Support or replacing the printer as this seems more likely to be a hardware problem with the printer. You may want to try following the steps in the slow Printing article as well which is linked above.

thanks a million for the advice refering to the different power adaptors, as I have two printers with the same input sockets and unknowingly used the wrong one. I encountered this problem of cartridge error and could not figure out what was wrong as I have tried all the advices given but found that I was using all along the wrong power adaptor. Again I say thank you very much.

Received above error message after extended period of non use of 5610. I tried removing cartridges one by one. Black one responded low on ink. Tri color responded no cartridge found.

After reading this post I tried a new tri color cartridge and machine works like new.

Thank you for your help - I would never have purchased it without reading post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is about a 2year old printer.  It won't clean the print heads and it says the cartidge is not installed, but it prints poorly

Hello geddyonsite

What printer are you using? Are you using new genuine HP ink or remanufactured/refilled ink? Which ink cartridge is being reported as not installed?
