Printer is on.  I have redone wireless setup, turned printer on and off.  Rebooted computer.  Still says printer is offline.  The printer won't even work on my two Win 7 machines.  It had been working on my New HP Pavilion TouchSmart All-in-one, Win 8.  Until this morning.  any help will be appreciated.

Hi Memiki,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand the printer is showing offline.

I will be happy to help you.

Try disabling the Antivirus software tempararily to see if that makes a difference.

Check to make sure the printer isn't offline.
Go to start, devices and printers.

Right click the name of the product and then click See what's printing.
Click the printer button at the top.
Then look for the Pause Printing and Use Printer Offline items in the menu.
Make sure that there is no checkmark next to either item.
If a checkmark displays next to either item, click to clear it.

Make sure there are no jobs in the cue.

Try printing again.

If you still can't print then print a configuration page to make sure the printer has a valid IP address.

Printing a Network Configuration Page.

Check the computers to see if the IP address matches.

Go to start, devices and printers.

Right click the printer and left click printer properties.

Select the ports tab and click the configure port button.

Check the IP address.
If they don't match then close the configure port window.

Click create a port and follow the wizard. Put in the proper IP address for the printer.

Make sure the printer is online.

Test the printer.

If the IP address do match then try and access the printer's embedded web server.

Type the IP address into internet explorer address bar.

If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is on the network.

Check the network the computer is connected to.

If you require further help please provide the following information.

Did the IP address match on the computers?

Were you able to access the printer's IP address?

Were the computer's on the correct network?

Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

Have a nice day!

I have tried all you have suggested.  I have found that I just have to uninstall and reinstall.  This is on my Win8 computer.  It just has a mind of its own.  I have it installed on another HP computer (I have all HP products 🙂 )  and it has worse problems than just being offline.

Than you for the suggestions.

Hi Memiki,

Sorry that didn't work. I would still like to be able to help you get the printer working on all the computers.

I will need some more information so we can figure this out together.

What was the IP address for the printer?

Could you access the printer's embedded web server?

What results did you have when following the steps provided?
