How can I use this printer to print photos? There is no specific tray for printing photos. I tried the front manual tray but the photos are cut off.

Hi,

The following steps are from page #23 of its manual:

Use these instructions to load photo paper.
1. Lift the output tray.
2. Slide out the paper width guide in the input tray as far as possible.
NOTE: If you are loading larger sized media, pull up the front edge of the input tray to extend it.
3. Insert the media print-side down in the tray. Make sure the stack of media is inserted as far inside the printer as possible and does not exceed the line marking in the tray. If the photo paper has a tab along one edge, make sure the tab is pointing towards the front of the printer.
4. Slide the media guides in the tray until they touch the edge of the stack of media.
5. Lower the output tray.
6. Pull out the tray extender.

Regards.

Well, it sounds like they are in there sideways from what they should be. They should be loaded the same orientation ( short side toward the back, not toward the sides) as plain paper is loaded. The paper guides should be slid up to the photo paper stack.

Of course, also make sure the right size is selected, whether is be 4x6 or 5x7 etc.....

When I use the tray guides to center 5x7 photo paper in the tray and slide the paper far enough forward to engage the paper advancing mechanism the image is the desired size but is not centered on the paper, i.e. the image is too low on the paper so that there is too much margin at the top and the foot fo the inage is cut off.
