HP Officejet 7110
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We have just purchased the printer and are having problems trying to get the printer to print A3 size. Setting printer settings to A3 (and application printer settings also to A3) the printer still  prints out in A4.

We are using the latest driver from HP. We are using the wireless operating mode. Three different computers all running Windows 7 OS are all experiencing the same problem.

After using the HP 1220C  'work horse'  for many years (making a few noises now!) without any problems decided to upgrade to the 7110 !

Thanks for your help.

John

Hi Gemini02,

Thanks for your help.

Tried changing  the location settings on the computer to United States. This had no affect.

Also  check the printing options in the print dialogue , changed a few settings but put them back as they were, but noticed that the print preview now showed a correct view for A3 (before showed part of the drawing at A4  on the page. The printer now printed the A3 drawing correctly! Really not sure what I did....but it now works!

Decided to download the latest driver and Firmware versions for the 7110 printer from the HP website (64 bit exe) just in case for some reason I was not using the latest printer software.  Two other peoplke in the office did likewise  and we are all now  printing  A3 drawings correctly.

Thanks again for your help

Hi @PompeyJohn,

I read your post and see that after changing all the settings to A3, it sill prints as A4 size. I would like to help you out today.

I have had a similar issue with another post, here are some steps you may try.

Change the location settings on the computer to United States. (might not be allowing the paper size changes)

Go to Start, Control Panel, Region and Language. Select the Location tab, click on the drop down and select United

States. Then click on the Formats tab and click on the drop down and select English (United States)

Restart the computer.

Try printing again. Also try unchecking the option "Scale content for A3" from the software you are printing from.

You could also install a Generic driver for printing the A3 size.

On the computer, go to Start, Devices and Printers, select Add a Printer. Follow the steps, select HP and Deskjet 9800, Deskjet 450 or the Deskjet 990 from the list. When printing the A3 paper size, select this driver.

If you appreciate my efforts, please click the 'Thumbs up' button below. Thank You.
