Hi folks,

Having issues with my printer. When photocopying the image is perfect but when I print anything from my computer, whether it be from a web page or a pdf, the print is quite fuzzy, it almost looks like the image has a shadow.

I have aligned the cartridges and cleaned the print heads numerous times but this makes no difference.

I recently uninstalled and reinstalled the printer to see if that would help but also no improvement.

I am not aware of any changes to either printer or computer which would have caused this deterioration in print quality.

I am using an HP ProBook 4530 laptop running windows 7  64bit.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Hi @jinjafish,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that your Officejet J4580 is producing blurry/fuzzy prints.

I have included the Images are Fuzzy, Blurry, Jagged, or Grainy troubleshooting document. It will walk you through the required troubleshooting steps. I have also included the Smears or Smudges on the Page document. If the first document doesn’t correct the issue, this document has some different steps to try.

Please let me know the outcome.
