Hello, my HP Officejet pro 7740, no longer scans the entire scanning area (A3 format) but only in A4, someone had the same problem and how they solved. Thanks

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the HP FULL Solution Software for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-7740-wide-format-all-in-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I have the printer since 2018. The problem is that it no longer scans the entire scan area, it cuts me the scan in A4 format even if I have to scan the whole area. Thanks

Can advise what app/software is being used currently to scan?

HP Smart or the FULL software?

If using the FULL software, then follow the steps in the previous reply to scan A3.

Last question, were you able to copy A3 from the scan glass?

If you select "flatbed" as source you can choose to scan A3 format. By default it selects "Document Feeder if loaded" as source but if you leave it that way it will scan from the flatbed if no document is loaded in the feeder but the scan area will be restricted to the maximum of the document feeder, so no A3, even if you chose "entire scan area" as "page size".
