Bought this printer a month ago.  I have no problem with both LAN +Wireless setup.

Windows8 OS

I noticed once the printer is not on (goes to sleep), it will not wake up by itself.

According to manual, if I send a print job, it should wake up by itself.

Currently, this is what I need to do.

I need to physically turn off and turn on the printer, wait for 10-15 seconds until the wifi blue light is solid (no blinking)

and then send my print job, and it will work

Just wondering whether HP has a solution to this, thanks

Hi,

Try disabling the Auto-Off feature and check if that may help, the device should enter into an energy save mode and not turn off completely:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02860533

If that doesn't help ensure the printer located close to your router, but not closer than 2 meters and check if that may help.

If there is still no change try updating teh latest firmware and check if that may help:

Is HP ever going to fix / address this issue?

People Running the latest firmware - 20130703

And there is no option to disable Sleep mode.  The max you can set it to is 1 hour.

The power physically / manually has to be powered back on, to establish IP connectivity.

This has been an issue for 2 years now!!! Come on what does it take to get an update?

Seriously?

I think I have a defective unit - can't connect wifi, can't disable sleep - currently only good connected to a computer but I still have to remember to cycle the power because it is always auto-off-ing.  Or maybe they are all like that!
