Dell Inspiron N7110
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have been trying now for several hours to get my printer to print wirelessly as well as my iPad and iPhone to air print. This function has worked for me up until a few days ago when it just stopped. A long time ago when I added the wireless print to my printer it was a very easy process and took literally minutes as I recall to get it working. Now, not so much.

I have installed following the instructions on screen many, many times Without success. I do not have the original CD that came with the printer, not that I think it would work anyways as I am running windows 10 now. I am using a Dell laptop 64-bit system.

here are the steps that I have done:

Removed Printer from laptop

Restarted computer

Double checked after restart the printer was not there

Printed a test page from the printer and direct print was set to on

Reset the printer back to factory default settings

Downloaded printer software update from HP website (hp _LJP1100_P1560_P1600_Full_Solution-v20180815-50157036.exe)

Initiated install wireless printer

Message: “the printer was unable to connect to the wireless network using the wireless credentials that were provided.

To verify the wireless credentials please click back“

Verified that I was connected to the correct router and the password was correct.

The following message appeared:

“the printer was able to successfully connect to the wireless network using the wireless credentials provided. However, this computer is unable to communicate with the printer.

Please verify that the printer is on the same network as the computer and, if using WEP, verify that the credentials were entered correctly and try again.“

I have been to this stage a dozen times already.

I cancelled out of this method of installing software and went back to install printer USB software.

Restarted PC when indicated.

Verified printer would work with USB cable attached.

Loaded install software to try and configure to print over wireless network, followed on screen prompts (I also tried to add another printer, do a repair/update, and add additional software. None of these got me anywhere)

suggestions please.

Thank you for your response. All of the things listed I had actually tried several times before, but I did try them all again and did not work. I found something else online the other day that showed me how to connect my iPhone and iPad by going into settings, Wi-Fi, and the printer name was displayed there, I select it as a Wi-Fi device and I’m able to print it, then I just switch back to my 5G Wi-Fi network. I have to run my laptop through the USB port to the printer. So even though it’s not the way I wish to have my system configured I will go with it.. I wanted my printer located in a different area where I could not hardwire it to my Laptop but after so many attempts I’m giving up and will just keep it hardwired.
