Hello all,

 

I have the same problem since upgrading on Windows 10!

 

USB 2.0 also does not work!

 

Newest driver installed.

 

Problem as described: PSC 750 prints only few lines and stopps with an error.

 

I downgraded on Windows 8.1. I expect a solution...

The HP PSC 750 was a good all-in-one printer/scanner and served me well for many years. It still works well under Windows 10 as a scanner, but not as a printer. There are no good Windows 10 printer drivers for this device, and I don't expect there ever will be.

 

I solved my problem by replacing the printer with a new HP ENVY 5540 all-in-one model.

I had the same printer and problem . I used the printer in my laptop and docking station and with windows 7 no problem. But I finaly fixed  my problem! I used the windows 10 problem solver and it told me that i connected my printer to an usb3.0 port that might not be compatible with my printer. Luckily my laptop also has an USB 2.0 port. I uninstalled my printer. Coneccted it to my USB 2.0 port and that solved my problem!

Finaly printing full pages again without errors!

For desktop users: If no usb 2.0 ports are availible, buying an PCI-E card with usb 2.0 ports might help!

It's great when you can find a solution as simple as moving from a USB 3 port to a USB 2 port. Nice. I'm glad it worked for you.

 

In my case, there were no USB 3 ports involved. They were all USB 2 to start with.

 

My solution was more drastic, and more expensive. I replaced the printer.

Stupid question here. My computer does have a 2.0 that I could try. It's a smaller port though, and my normal USB won't fit. What's up here?

I ran into this problem on an HP PSC 750. I was able to resolve it by moving the USb cable from a USB 3 port to a USB 2 port. A hint was that there was a problem with the port. Apparently the PSC 750 is incapable of communicating via the USB 3 port. Saves the client from getting a new printer, fo the time being.
