Problem: I am uable to print wirelessly from my PC or from eprint, and I can't scan to email, but I am able to print from my iPad.

Setup: My PC is Windows 7, 64-bit. My printer is the HP Photosmart 5520 CX042A.

Printer is about 3 weeks old. Setup was trouble-free. I printed from both my PC and my iPad after setup and scanned several documents to email. Yesterday, I scanned to email successfully. Today, I can't. I don't know why, since no changes were made to any setting.

My wireless Network Test Results reports "no problems found," although it reports in "Current Configuration" that Internet is "not connected."

I've tried:

I searched this forum and found I keep getting "unable to connect to web services on a 5520" . I followed the steps in the solution. This solution didn't work for me.

Help, please.

I should have included above that my iPad uses the same "server " to print that my PC does. Yet, my iPad can print (thank goodness), but my PC cannot.

I am also having this problem, and would very much appreciate a response.

Hi Peter-01,

I understand that you're having problems connecting ePrint.  I would try the steps below.  Let me know how it goes.

1. Obtain your printer's IP address

a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.

2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.

3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.

4. On the left select networking.

5. Select Network Address (IP)

6. Select Manual DNS Server

a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8

b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4

7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.

My all-in-one 5520 had been working great till last week. (Which required me to use the church's technology. ) I thought weather involved with signals but all other components work except email. I don't have an error message but message "the scan failed. Try again or touch exit to quit". Retry doesn't work.....I have unplugged while on and it did restart but no change on status. Thank you for your suggestions.

Hi There,

I have a Photosmart 5520 and I'm having the same issue, getting a 'connection server error' when ever I try and use eprint...and when I try and print anything from my mac it says 'looking for printer' and then doesn't find it and doesn't print.  Thanks very much for your help steps in this thread. I have found my IP address, however, I'm not sure what you mean, putting this into a browser? (my brains tired today and I'm not very technical lol!). Do you mean put it into an internet browser? Thanks for your help, Kind Regards
