We had storms the other night and the electricity went off and on twice within seconds. The next day the print display stated that it was not turned off properly. I tried to print a document from computer and there was barely anything and it was running very slowly. Printer displayed that I should shut it off and then turn back on. Printer will print the Print Quality Diagnostic page and will copy with color. I tried replacing the black ink cartridge since it was low, but not low enough to not print.
Thank you for any help in diagnosing this problem.

Hi! @debbier59, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand your printer will not print from your computer.
Don't worry I will try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Please provide the operating system you are running on your PC.
Uninstall the printer software from the root level and install the latest printer drivers.
1. Navigate to Start >Type Devices and Printers in the Search > Select it from the results
2. Highlight your printer object and Right Click
3. Choose Remove Device
4. Highlight something else from the list
5. Click the Print Server Properties button from the toolbar
6. Select the Drivers Tab
7. Highlight the appropriate print driver
8. Click Remove
9. Check the Remove Driver and Driver Package option when prompted
10. Click OK
Please update the printer software using this link.
Let me know if this works!
Have a great day ahead! 🙂

@debbier59, Thanks for your response and time.
Kudos to you for trying out the steps.
Clean the printhead with an automated tool from the printer control panel.
Load plain, white U.S. letter or A4 size paper in the input tray.
On the printer control panel, press the Setup icon.
Press the button next to the arrow until Tools displays next to OK.
Press the button next to OK to select Tools, and then press the button next to the arrow until Clean Printhead displays next to OK.
Press the button next to OK to clean the printheads.
The printer cleans the printheads and then prints a test page.
Evaluate the test page for print quality.
If the print quality on the test page is satisfactory, return to the current print job.
If the print quality on the test page is unsatisfactory, perform a secondary cleaning of the printhead.
If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot printer not printing in black.
If the issue still persists it is a hardware issue with the printer, please contact HP support for service options.

I'll watch your reply!
Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂
