I have scanned to email before (with the same e-mail) but this time, I have tried like 5 times, it refuses to even send a document at all. I reset my pin number to delete the e-mail and re-add it on (to see if that would make a difference) I made sure the network was working properly, and I received an e-mail with the pin reset information, but the printer refuses to send an actual scanned document to my e-mail. By the way, I am on a MacBook air and scan to computer is not an option for me, nor is a memory card. Please help!! This document is time sensitive! Thanks

Hi sophiaisabela,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see by your post that you are unable to send a scan to email from the control panel.
I will be happy to help you.

Try unplugging your router for 30 seconds, plug it back and turn the printer Off and then On again.
Now try scanning to email again.

Print out the configuration page to get the printer's IP address.

Printing Network Configuration Pages.

If the same error persists try setting a manual DNS address as following:
1. Open the embedded web server and Click the Network tab.
2. Under the active connection type section click IPv4 (Wired / Wireless).
3. Keep the IP Address Configuration as exists, under the DNS Address Configuration check the box next to Manual DNS
   Server.
4. Set the Preferred DNS as 8.8.8.8.
5. Set the Alternate DNS as 8.8.4.4.
6. Save the changes and try scanning to email again.

If you are still having issues, then I would update the firmware on the printer.
HP Photosmart 6520 e-All-in-One Printer Drivers.

Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank You.
