I have scanned to mail in the past but am now unable to. I get error 403. Also the printer doesn't seem to change the PIN I've been emailed. In the password blank it shows about 10 asterisks

Hi @cjmrnanp

Welcome back to the HP Support forums. I gather that you are getting a connection error message when trying to use the scan to email feature of your Photosmart 6520 printer.

Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. If you are unsure how to this I have include a link to another post that has the steps, including screenshots, on how to do this. Please don’t worry that the screenshots show a Photosmart 7510 printer, the steps are the same.

Once you’ve set the manual IP address, do you still have the same issue with entering the PIN?

Please let me know the outcome.

Once I put in the new IP info...and thank you for that link since DNS servers are foreign to me...everything worked like a charm...didn't even have to enter the new PIN. Thank you for making it so easy, and for your quick response!
