HP Photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had successfully set up my printer a couple days ago.  It worked fine and I was able to print.

I turned the printer off abd did not try to use it again until now..  Turned it on today and no print!  I got an error message, bottom left side of computer screen, that said the printer could not connect.  So, I reviewed all prior submissions to this HP web site relating similar problem.  I found and did the following:

"

Follow these steps to reset your HP printer, your wireless router, and your computer.

  1. Press the Power button on the HP printer to turn it off.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the HP printer.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the wireless router.
  4. Turn off the computer.
  5. Wait 30 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the wireless router.
  7. Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is fully on and ready.
  8. Turn the computer back on.
  9. Wait for the computer to reload.
  10. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the HP printer.
  11. Turn the printer back on.
  • Press the Setup menu option on the front panel of the printer
  • Select the Wireless submenu
  • Scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Restore Network Defaults"
  • Select Yes on the next screen

After performing these steps try connecting the printer again using the Wireless Setup Wizard in the Wireless submenu of the Setup menu again."

After performing all of the above steop, I printed out the Wireless Network Test Results".  It shows no errors, all PASS.  Yet no results from the printer.  There is no printer error similar to what I referred to above, just no response.

Help please!

Greetings @Redeagle999,

Thanks for accessing the HP Support Forums for extra support! I see that you are experiencing issues staying connected wirelessly. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.

I wasn't sure if you meant that you were connected again but you couldn't print or if you couldn't get connected again. Please check out the following to see if one of them will help.

If the printer still has an IP address, I would skip to Step seven: Assign the printer a static IP address.

Try the steps in this document if the issue persists: Printer is Offline.

Step 2: Install Windows update KB3147458 (Windows 10 only) and Step 9: Other things to try: Disable Simple Network Management Protocol should help.

If you aren't getting an IP address for the printer now, let me know.

If this helps you to reach a solution, please click the "Accept as Solution" button. If you wish, to say thanks for my effort to help, click the "Thumbs Up" to give me a Kudos. Please let me know the outcome. Have a nice day!
