I have been using scan to email with no problems on my HP 7525 for quite a while. Recently I get the message "unable to connect to web services." When I press the Web Service button on the printer screen it shows Status connected but still get the error message. I've tried scanner to my computer and it works. I turn the router and printer off and turned back on and it still doesn't work.
Please help!

Hi @Marianne_TommyB,
I read your post and see that you are getting the error "unable to connect to web services", when trying to scan to email. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Please try the following steps to see if it may help with this issue.
Network Power Reset:
Let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.), then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection.
I would suggest to set a Manual DNS for the printer.
Go into the printer's Embedded Web Server by typing in the printer's IPv4 address in your web browser.
Here is a document to get the printer's IPv4 adddress: HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer Series - Printing a Network Configuration Page.
Click the Network tab, then click on IP4 config or networking on the left side.
Click on Network Address (IP)
Select Manual DNS Server.
Type in the printer's information and IP address.
Set the DNS Address Configuration as Manual.
Set the preferred address as 8.8.8.8
Set the Alternate address as 8.8.4.4 and confirm the changes.
Try scanning again.
What operating system are you using?
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
You may have to reset the Web Services and reset up the Scan to Email again.
NOTE: Resetting the web services will clear the custom ePrint e-mail you have setup on your printer. Please be aware that if you have a custom ePrint e-mail, after doing this you will need to set it up again, and will not be able to use the same address.
1. Press the Web Services button on the front panel.
2. Press Settings.
3. Press 'remove web services' and confirm its removal.
This will bring you back to the home page.
4. Press the Web Services icon on the printer again and go through the setup process.
5. Once the web services has been enabled again, try setting up your Scan to E-mail.
If you appreciate my efforts, please click the 'Thumbs up' button below.
If there is anything else I can help you with, just let me know. Thank You.
