I am trying to update the wireless network name (SSID) for my HP Printer. My printer only has USB port and it also does not have a set up wizard on the pannel. It also does not support WPS. I cannot find the IP address of the printer either from the configuration page. Can someone help me please? Thank you.

Here is your support page.
Download the User Guide and read it here Follow the instructions and connect your Printer USB cable and run the installation setup again to change your SSID and input a new password. Page 12 starts it for you.

Hi,
As the user manual refers to a Full Featured HP Software, which not avialble for Mac OS X 10.11, the steps won't allow connectng wirelessly through a USB connection.
To overcome a such, temporarly connect the Mac to your printer via a wireless ad-hoc connection and then follow the Wireless Setup Wizard within the printer EWS page.
You may follow these steps, as suggested by @X-23 in the following post:
How to Establish an Ad Hoc Connection:
- First, press the Wireless button on the printer and ensure the your Wireless is Enabled
- On the Mac, click the Wi-Fi icon and select Join other Network
- Click Show Network and select the printer's Network Name (it should include C4580 in it) or HPSETUP
- Allow 4-5 minutes for the Ad-Hoc Connection to establish itself. The Blue wireless light on the printer should go solid.
- Print a Network Configuration Report by pressing the Wireless button on the product, press the Gray button until Print Network Configuration Page is highlighted, then press the Green button. A Configuration page prints, including the IP Address which you will need in the next step.
- Open your Internet Browser on your Mac (it may bring you to a 'page cannot be displayed' screen because you're actually not on the internet right now)
- In the Address Bar of your Internet Browser you need to type in the IP Address that you gathered from the Network Configuration Report
- Now a website for your printer should open.
- Select the Networking tab at the top and then click Wireless on the left hand side
- You're looking for the Wireless Setup Wizard to configure the wireless manually on your device
- You may need to select Infrastructure and then choose your Network Name SSID
- When prompted, Security Mode will request your Authentication for your network. You will need to select whether your have WEP or WPA security. (If you're not sure click the Wi-Fi icon on your Mac and select Open Network Preferences. Select Wi-Fi and click Advanced, within the Wi-Fi type you should see your router name with its security type listed right next to it.)
- Type your WEP/WPA key (password) in the appropriate field and click Apply
- The blue light on your printer may flicker a few times but should go solid again
- On your Mac click the Wi-Fi icon and select Join Other Network and reconnect to your proper Network.
- Click on the Apple - select System Preferences - select Print & Scan - and click the plus (+) button
- You should now see your printer with bonjour as the kind - add this product.
Regards,
Shlomi

Thank you so much for your help, but I can't follow the steps you recommanded.
First of all, I do not find Printer's network name among available network.
Second of all, I cannot find the IP address of the printer. I printed the configuration page and it says IP Address is not applicable. I am stuck. Is there other way to do it? Thank you agian!

Here is the summary of my issue.
1. I changed my wireless network, but I cannot find the way to update the wirelss network.
2. This is what I have and what I do not have.
- My computer is Mac and the operation system is OS X 10.11.
- I do not have the set up CD it came with the printer.
- My printer (HP Photosmart C4580) does only have USB port.
- My printer does not have a set up wizard to change the wireless network name (SSID).
- I cannot find IP address for the printer from anywhere.
- I cannot locate the network name for "hpsetup".
It seems I need to download the driver and reset the wireless printer. I am not sure how to do that. Can someone help please? Thank you so much!!

Hi,
First turn the printer off and back on, then try restoring the network settings and then try again:
- Press the Wireless button on the product.
- Press the button next to the down arrow on the display until Restore Network Defaults is highlighted, and then press OK.
- Confirm that you want to restore the network defaults.
Next turn the Wireless Radio On:
- Press the Wireless button on the product.
- Press the button next to the down arrow on the display until Turn Radio On is highlighted, and then press OK.
Now try following the steps above again, the printer IP address will only become available once connecting the Mac to the printer network as listed in my previous post
As a reference, a Network Report can be printed as following:
- Press the Wireless button on the product.
- Press the button next to the down arrow on the display until Print Network Configuration Page is highlighted, and then press OK, only print it after connecting the printer from your Mac
