HP Photosmart C7280 Black Ink won't print

Surprised you are reporting a problem with the Premium 309g.  This uses the 364 ink cartridge, not the 363 that is used by most of the printers mentioned in this thread.  The 364 is much like the current Canon ink cartridge.  I've not previously heard of problems with these cartridges.

Once again, this printer doesn't use the same cartridges (21/22, not 363) and so the cause of this problem is unlikely to be the same as reported elsewhere in this thread for other printer models.  Mind you, nothing surprises me anymore, where HP is concerned!  Suggest you open a new thread for your model of printer and see if you get any other suggestions.

I am experiencing the same thing with my HP Officejet Pro 8500.   WTF!!!  I will be looking for solutions.  And raising hell if I don't get answers from someone.

Once again, different ink system (this time 940 v 363) so unlikely to be the same reason.  As previously, suggest you open a new thread for your model of printer and see whether anyone can give you any advice appropriate to it.

Just to re-emphasise, this thread relates to printers using the HP363 ink system.

my C7280 can't print black too.  I think HP has a time bomb. I won't buy it anymore.  goodbye.

Black ink is used when printing in photo mode / photo paper.

Actually, black ink isn't used when printing in photo mode.  To get a greater accuracy of black, it is created by mixingthe other colours,  That's why, if you choose to print in photo mode, even if it's not on photo paper, black will print, even of it won't in normal mode.

Choose only  HP Premuim Plus Photo.

The other photo paper don't work.
