HP Photosmart Essentials 3.5 keeps shutting down

This software is running on Windows 10.

I have deleted the software and reinstalled it but the problem persists.

Can a HP engineer provide a solution?

John, note that HP Photo Creations is not a direct replacement for the old Essentials program. HP Photo Creations is a new program designed for creative printing and sharing. Please let us know what you wanted to do with Essentials and we'll try to suggest a path in HP Photo Creations.

I use HP Photosmart Essentials 3.5 to import photographs, to show stored photographs in date order and in folders ordered by month.

I converted to Windows in summer 2016 and Essentials 3.5 went on working perfectly until March 2017 when it showed the error message shortly after being started "program stopped working correctly" following which the program freezes.

I have loaded and looked at HP Photo Creations which does not seem to do the things listed in the first paragraph. It is the default update when updates are requested in Essentials 3.5.

Thank you for the detail. Yes, HP Photo Creations is designed for printing, so you'll want to look into another program for importing and organizing your photos. The built-in Microsoft Photos app in Windows 10 might work:
