HP Photosmart Plus B 209
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Message; Load paper in main tray.  I reloaded the tray several times, and put in new paper.  I removed the back door panel and cleaned the rollers, and cleaned all the paper storage area, but get the same message.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Photosmart Plus All-in-One Printer series - B209 and receive a message as "Load paper in main tray" even though there is paper stacked in the printer. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

I would like to know if any changes (hardware or software udaptes) took place on the printer after which this issue may have started. Meanhwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Please view the paper weith supported by the paper trays. Overweight on the paper tray may cause the printer not to pick paper.

  • If the paper is stacked as per the tary capacity thenplease check if you have performed all steps listed in this link: http://hp.care/2kheGwK
  • You may perform a reset on the printer if issue persists. I have sent you a private message with the reset steps.

Feel free to let me know how it goes. Cheers!
