HP Deskjet D1455
macOS 10.12 Sierra
1 - Will this printer work with a 2012 Mac Book Pro? I assume it does not have wireless capabilities, but can I just plug in the USB when I need to use it?

2 - Also, I do not have a installation disc for it. Is this something HP can provide?

(It is my fiances printer - It is missing the power cord and install disc.; we recently moved in together and I want to get it hooked up with my computer, if it will work).

Thanks!

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to connect your HP Deskjet D1455 printer to the computer.

I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  • This printer is not wireless capable.
  • You will have to use USB cable to connect it to the computer.

Follow these steps to add the printer on each computer that shares the printer.

  • Connect the USB cable to the printer and to the USB port of the AirPort Express or AirPort Extreme Base Station.
  • Click the Apple menu (), and then click System Preferences.
  • Click Print & Fax or Print & Scan.
  • Click the plus sign (+), and then select the name of your HP printer.
  • Click Add.
