HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 Pri
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

In one office with 4 computers, the HP Printers LaserJet 600 M602 and Color LaserJet MFP M680 have started printing a blank page and the last page first from all 4 computers in the office. We just changed out three of the four computers before this started, but the issue also happens from the fourth computer that was not changed out. The issue does not happen when I print from a computer over the network from outside of that office. The same issue happens when printing from multiple Apps (Adobe, Word, Excel).

I have checked the settings for Front to Back. Nothing. Cover page. None set. Specific Apps settings. Set correctly. I updated the Firmware. No change. Uninstalled/Installed print drivers and devices on the computers. No effect.

Thanks.

Since all computers are showing this issue, I imagine you are using a  single driver on a print server.  Do you know what driver you are using (universal print driver or discrete?)  The website shows several driver options. There are several options in the driver and this is likely a selection that was accidentally selected.

If you go into the control panel on the print server and look up the devices.  Right click on the printer (M602 or M680) and select "printer properties". Select "Advanced" out of the top tabs.  Inside the advanced window, select "printer defaults".  Once again, select "advanced:.  Verify if you have selected "reverse page order".

If not, please share your driver information and we can troubleshoot further.

Two clarifications.

1 - On a 10 page print job, the printers will print in this order, a blank page, page 10, and then pages 1-9.

2 - The problem is only from those 4 computers. Other computers from outside of that specific office can print without this issue.

The Drivers are HP Universal Printing PCL 6.

This is bizarre - I will check in with the driver team.  Hopefully we'll have an answer later today.

I agree with @ScannerAndPrint that the reported symptoms do indicate somewhat bizarre behaviour.

If you print a small , sanitised data (i.e. redacted) document, but select the 'print to file' option in the Print dialogue, to cause the print job to be 'captured' to a nominated .prn file, the content of that file would be useful to diagnosticians in determining whether there is a printer driver problem, or a printer firmware problem.

We started rolling the drivers back from HP Universal Printing PCL 6 until we got to PCL 5. PCL 5, no (vx.x), so far has solved the issue.
