Hi, I've been using HP smart for a data entry project that is single page scan heavy.  I'm running into an issue where I will click the scan button on HP Smart and the software will go through the motions but my printer doesn't attempt to pull the paper from the document try or scan from the flatbed, resulting in a blank scan.  The weird part is after deleting the failed scan, touching and changing nothing, I can click scan again and the operation will execute just fine.  If I can keep a constant stream of scans going with no break the scan function will operate without issue, but if there is a break of about 30 seconds or more between scans the program will again start the software operation and not start the hardware scan operation.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled HP Smart, used the HP Print and Scan Doctor, updated windows, reconnected my router, printer, and computer to the network in sequence.  I'm not sure what else I can do.
