ENVY 7640 All-in-One

I am having similar issues. Win 10, ENVY 7640 All-in-One purchased in May 2020.  When scanning using the Automatic Document Feeder nothing shows up on the screen after completing, not even the settings menu on the RH side of the screen that's normally there.  The scanner glass, and all other functions work normally. I can Copy using the ADF so its not a malfunction of the reader. I can also use Windows Scan App or my Android phone with the HP Smart App and it all functions normally. Scan and Fax Doctor software finds no issues either. Works with other programs or even using the installed drivers directly on the PC. That eliminates it being a hardware or a network issue.  I have run every conceivable troubleshooting and diagnostic tools from Win and HP. No support from HP even after filling out 3 or 4 "Contact HP" forms with detailed information. None of this started happening until recently when HP started REQUIREING you to be signed in for their equipment to function (very comforting!). HP is clearly having software issues. These should be pieces of equipment that are tools to use with your PC. I don't need to log into Makita for my belt-sander to work! Should be the same for a printer/scanner.
