HP Solution Center Fails to launch/cannot open! (SOLUTION HERE)

Hi,

Yes and it works but it has very limited functionalities. For example, I cannot scan into searchable PDF or I cannot choose the scan resolution.

Any idea to make the HP Solution Center works?

Where does one get HP Scan Extended?  I can't find it.

You can download the HP Scan Extended from this site :

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Let us know if that works.

I tried the BCDEDIT command in the command prompt but it told me it was protected by secure boot and cannot be modified.

Hi, Thanks for your reccomendation, it helped! I recently upgraded the OS on my hp laptop from windows 7 to widows 10 which resulted in my hp photosmart printer no longer working as well as hp solution center. I was able to download the appropriate drivers to get the printer working but couldnt get hp solution center working. The insrructions that you gave didn't match available selections in windows 10 on my computer or work for me. However, the link at the end of the instructions led me to a download that corrected the problem. I was about ready to give up and uninstall windows 10. I tried all the other reccomendations and none of them worked. Thanks for the help!
