Scanning ducuments from my printer to my computer has suddenly stopped working. I click on the Solution Center icon and it won't load up. I get the little 360º cirlcle for a second and then nothing. I can scan a document ot make a copy but not a file on my computer. I've downloaded the software numerous time with no results.
Does anyone have a solution for me?
Thank you in advance.

Hello, @birdhunternd - Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!
Going through your post, I understand that you are unable to scan using the solution center on your Windows vista PC. The issue looks like an issue with the drivers of the printer.
Let’s first try to fix this issue using HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR). PSDR is an automated tool which can diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. Please go to http://hp.care/2bZ9w2q to download and run HP PSDR. Once you open the program, select your printer and click on “Fix Printing” to automatically diagnose and fix the issue.
If the issue persists, try the steps listed below and re-run the PSDR:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Photosmart printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click on http://hp.care/2pvcG4m to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
That should do the trick, let me know the outcome!
Good luck 🙂
