I tried your solution, but it didn't work. I unplugged my hp photosmart c6380, and deleted it from Devuces and Printers, then rebooted.
When I rebooted, the icon returned, as if it had never been deleted.
I then deleted it again, and this time didn't reboot.
I got the error message: The following packages cannot be deleted:
prnhp004.ing(x64)
This package contains the following driver(s) that are in use
HP Photosmart C6300 series: This driver is used on:
HP002597 (HP Photosmart C6300 series)
HP PHotosmart c6300 series
The following driver(s) cannot be deleted
Driver HP PHotosmart c6300 series (x64) is in use. It is used on:
HP002597 (HP Photosmart c6300 series)
If it makes any difference, I also have an HP laserjet pp\2055dn on the system. This printer works fine.
When I try to download the new 6300 driver from HP and install it, sometimes I can get the printer to work, but I never get the HP Solution center.
I tried uninstalling everything from Uninstall programs, but it refuses to uninstall; yet hp solutions center doesn't work when I click on it

I am now running Windows 7 and I have recently changed from a wired printer to a network printer through my router. I can no longer communicate with the printer by way of HP Solution Center. I tried to download a fresh version, but I keep getting a runaround by HP. Does ANYONE know the address of the actual site where I can get a fresh up to date copy of Solution Center?

Hi Shlomi,
Ref my reply of 14 Feb 2012 to your posting of the same date. As yet I have seen no further reply to my problem, only other people's similar problems. Does HP have a solution to this yet? For many people the Solution Centre seems to be anything but.
Cheers,

Pretty much the same problem. Can't install the old software that I used on WinXP so no Solution Centre, no scanning.
I would like to use the same solution as indicated in the second post in this thread but am reluctant to grab the link because my HP ALL-IN-ONE has written on it...
HP PSC 2350 series
HP Officejet 6200 series
Will that link work with my all-in-one voodoo machine????
I have just moved onto a Win7 Home Premium 64- bit machine.

I have an HP laptop (64-bit with Windows 7) and an HP Officejet j4680 all-in-one. I had another HP printer installed, a 4500 series. I removed the driver for the 4500 and lost my HP Solutions Center with it. Now I cannot use the fax or scanner functionn on my printer because HP Solutions Center is no longer on my computer.
How can I recover this useful application.
