Hello,
I'm using a HP Deskjet D1460, from 2007.
I have a big problem: the printer has the light blinking and I tried to use the error message and it says " Turn on the printer", but it is turned on...I don't know why this happens.

Hi cristinapld,
I'm not sure I understand what exactly is happening. Is the power light on the printer continuing to blink?
I think this document might help you. Try unplugging the printer so it can reset and then see if any lights continue to blink.
If they do - use this document to find which lights are blinking and see if you can resolve the issue:
I hope this helps!

Hi cristinapld,
Because the light continues to blink on the printer the computer is recognizing that the printer is not in a "ready" state.
You will need to disconnect the printer from the PC and turn it off. You need to get a steady green light on the power with nothing flashing.
If the lights are still flashing when you turn the printer back on I recommend removing and reseating the ink cartridges.
Follow the steps in this document under "The power light blinks and a message might display on the computer":
Once you've cleaned the cartridge contacts and reinserted them see if you can get a self-test page to print.
The important thing is to see if you can get anything to print from the printer itself to establish the printer is functional.
To print a self test do the following:
1. Press and hold the power button
2. While holding the power button - open and close the product cover 4 times.
3. Release the power button - the self test should print.
If none of these things work your printer may be broken. Let me know how this goes and I'll try to recommend anything else we might be able to try.
Jean
