HP Envy 4500
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hello!

I am trying to print to my HP Envy 4500 (only a few months old). When I send a job to the printer, it processes the job (pulls paper in and sounds like it is printing text), however, when it pushes the paper out, there is no text on it. I ran the 'clean printer head' and text print functions, and they both work perfectly. The test print printed all 7 color blocks without any streaking. I already tried installing the 6980 driver, but I got the same result. Can you help me figure out what is going on?

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Envy 4500 printer. I understand that you are getting blank pages when you try to print, and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well,

  • Remove and inspect the black cartridge.
  • Check the estimated ink levels, and then replace any low or empty cartridges.
  • Use an automated tool to clean the printhead.
  • Identify, and then replace the problem cartridge.

Click here to refer the document and perform troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

If the issue is resolved and you appreciate my help,

Please click the "Accept as Solution" button and the "Thumbs Up".

Let me know how you make out.

Cheers.
