Hello
I have a HP envy printer 5530 that works OK from my laptop.
When I connect to my Win7 Remote Desktop Server (on which HP envy drivers are also installed) and try to print locally on my local HP printer, it doesn't work.
When I look on my local laptop print queue, I can see two copies of "Remote Desktop redirected Printer Doc" listed in the Queue. One of the copies says spooling and then printing. Printing size document in the print queue indicates 4kb which is abnormally small, then the documents disapeared from the print queue but are not printed on the printer.
Note that I have no problem with the same laptop, same Remote Desktop server, but using another printer (not a HP).
I saw that on several forums (including this one), many users have this same problem but I have never saw a valid answer that solves this printing issue with RDP.
Any idea ?
Thanks

I resolved the issue by creating a new printer on the local computer and setting the port to the Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of the printer and using the HP Deskjet 6940 driver. The Deskjet 5500 driver may work as well.
The issue is with the specific Envy 5530 driver.

Any luck on this? Same issue here.
Windows 7 Pro connects via VPN to work network. Redirection occurs for both USB and Network (or even both simultaneously if installed).
Printing from either printer locally works.
Test pages to either redirected printer results in two print jobs spooling to local printer. The first one disappears with no info. The second one spools as a 4k job (from 140k on the remote PC) and then disappears. No printing. And HP likes Customer Care forms better than immediate response......
