All,
In another thread in this forum about the same topic I received a final statement from HP that my all-in-one (c410) will NOT be supported in OS 10.9. At least I got an answer!
Here is my reply. Perhaps some of you will want to echo my thoughts:
"MBJustice,
Well at least I finally got a definitive statement from HP for my c410.
So, after a month HP has made its internal decisions about which products to support. I will suggest that HP summarize those decisions and post somewhere a list of the scanners/all-in-one products that it will or will not support in OS 10.9 (whichever list is shorter}. Give all orphaned users the definitive information they need to move on in their future product-buying decisions."

In addition to "support" of the device, which could be interpreted as involving only the device driver, I would request a list of devices for which HP will discontinue support for the utilitiy software (e.g. HPScan, which will not longer be updated for my AIO Officejet 7310, and information that took over a month for HP to share.

FretnBoutNutn,
You seem still to miss part of the total spectrum. My situation (as I remarked several times) has nothing to do with Black/White or Grayscale. The colour scanning with my Scanjet 4890 is allright (shows perfectly in HP Scan), but printing gives rubbish and pdf saving gives an unspecified error.

FretnBoutNutn: That's all fine and well until you want to scan a document with more than one page. An image of your single page scan will be captured and saved. No option to scan another page to the same document. I doubt that having an ADF would help here until there is an Apple/HP fix.

MBJustice,
Since you are a HP Employee, don't you think you or someone in HP shoud do something to solve this problem instead of giving us alternative solutions???? We have invested our money in HP and we DESERVE solutions, real ones, not alternative ones.
On the other hand, why just not tell us customers, when, what, and for which products wil HP make updates, so we can go out to the market and buy something that works without so many turn arrounds with alternative programs????

Sorry, Fretn. Combining pdfs into one document doesn't work here, involves way too many steps. I need to scan NOW and often--this workaround just won't cut it. I've been an HP user since buying my first laser printer back in nineteen hundred and ninety-one, and I've had it with this extremely disappointing issue. I will be purchasing another printer/scanner post haste...one that is not an HP.
