i have an hp printer/scanner/copier and hp computer.  if use the buttons on the scanner, half the time don't get a full image --- another reply said to go through the hp computer to scan all images -- and seems to work that way just fine.

That worked for me, too - going through the computer (Mac in my case) to do the scanning.
