HP Deskjet 2332

I a brand new HPDeskjet 2332, I have just set up and every time I try to print the power button starts flashing slowly. I've spent 3 hours this morning trying to get HP to help, the whattsapp scenario if useless and so frustrating. I just want to print not put a ship in a bottle, how hard is it?

@Jacko97, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print and the power light is blinking. This condition occurs when the ink cartridge access door is open.

Make sure to close the ink cartridge access door completely.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

On your MAC, go to Apple menu > System preferences > Printers and scanners

Check if the printer is listed > Open the print queue > Delete all pending print jobs and make sure the printer is not paused.

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
