Hello,
I am running Yoesmite, 10.10.3 and cannot get the HTML Config page to open to set up my HP 1102W printer wirelessly.
This problem started when I set up my printer to an airport time capsule. When I had an airport extreme I had no problems with my wireless setup and printing using air print.
After connecting my 1102W to my laptop via USB, my printer is recognized in the Print Scan window found in system preferences. However whenever I choose utility, the HTML config page does not open. No error messages occur.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hi @Fharrisehent,
I see that you are having issues opening the HTML Config Page. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Make sure Safari is set as the default browser. (sometimes the EWS won't open if it isn't set as the default)
Open Safari, across the top select the Safari menu, select Preferences, General, set as default.
You will probably have to delete and add the USB driver back in again in Printers and Scanners to get the HTML to open.
You may have to delete and readd the printer again as a USB connection again, then try and open the HTML again.
If you haven't already restore the old network settings on the printer, here are the directions.
1. Turn the product off.
2. Press and hold the wireless button and the cancel button and then turn the product on.
3. Hold the buttons until the printer stops making noise, then release the buttons.
If you still can't open the HTML config, then update the printer's firmware. There isn't one available for 10.10 at this time, so you would have to use a older Mac or a Windows computer to do this. HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer.

Thank you for your help. The good news is that I was able to open the HTML page. I also was able to configure the wireless network.
I am also able to print wirelessly from my laptop. However using my iPad I am unable to airprint.
When I do go to print using my iPad this is what happens.
I open a document in pages. I selected print and the HP Laserwriter 1102w printer appeared and it appeared checked in gold.
When I select the back button, under printer options, for Printer-HP LaserJet Professional Printer appears grayed out and I the print button also is grayed.
Any suggestions please let me know. Thank you again for your help.

What a frustrating afternoon.
I now cannot open the HTML Config page.
When I do select this page I get the following message:
This page contains the following errors:
Error on line 6 at column 47: Entity 'nbsp' not defined
Error on line 12 at column 8:Opening and ending tag mismatch: link line 0 and head
I did attempt to load the orignal software which came with the printer from a CD. I did get an error message saying permissions needed to be fixed which I was able to fix.
Please, help.

Hi @Fharrisehent,
Since you can't open the Embedded Web Server page for the printer, it may be the assigned IP address.
Can you still print wirelessly?
Print a configuration page to get the printer's IPv4 address. Printing a Configuration Page. Select Method two.
If you have a valid IP address for the printer then try and access the Embedded Web Server for the printer.
Type the IPv4 address into your web browser's address bar.
What is the first 3 sets of numbers of the IPv4 address?
Were you able to access the Embedded Web Server page?
If it loads the printer's network page then the printer is still on the network.
Here is a document for the Airprint printer not being recognized. Go to the section for What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple device? Disregard the title.
If you are still having issues, restart the printer, turn the mobile device off and on again. Then on the mobile device turn off the wireless and then turn it back on connecting to the correct network.
Please keep me posted. Thank You.

Thank you again for your response.
Due to a major storm in my area power has just been restored. I will try your suggestions sometime this weekend and will let you know how I make out.
Again I thank you.

I did find after printing the device configuation page that I am not conncected wirelessly. the iPV4 Address shows 0.000
When I do select the HTML Config Utility I get the following message:
This page contains the following errors:
error on line 6 at column 47: Entity 'nsbp' not defined
error on line 12 at column 8: Opening and ending tag mismatch: link 0 and head
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error.

Also, I did notice this weekend that HP has a HP Laser Jet Pro M201 dw on sale. I do see it is airprint compatible. Do you know will it work with yoesmite (10.10.3) and an airport time capsule?
Thank you agian for all your help.

For me, I found a solution. I had installed an addon into Safari that was conflicting. The addon is called AdBlock. I disabled it (and I reloaded the driver, but not sure if that step was required.)
Now I still haven't solved the overall prolem of getting this to work, because setting up an HP printer to work wirelessly appears to be one of the most complex tasks in the universe.

Hi @Fharrisehent,
Most likely with the storm, it had reset the router, causing the printer's IP to be gone.
You will have to start over then, restore the printer's defaults.
Delete and readd the printer back in again from Printers and Scanners.
Then run the HTML to configure the wireless again.
I would suggest to setup a Static IP for the printer, so the router will always assign the same IP to the printer.
HP Printers - Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection.
Go to Solution five: Assign the printer a static IP address under the link for Mac.
There is the HP LaserJet Pro M201 and M202 Full Software and Drivers available to download for the Laserjet M201dw.
Hope this helps. Thank You.
