Every time i try to print the printer says out of paper. But i think its trying to print from the photo tray, and i want it to print from the regulr paper tray. when i look in the settings it says the photo tray is empty, which it is, but it says the regular paper tray has plain white paper in it, which it does. Am i doing something wrong? How to i get the thing to print from the regular paper tray?

Hi @akujin
Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to change the paper tray settings on our printer.
I’d love to help!
You need to change the printer settings in printer preferences to the regular tray (Check the image below).
On the Paper/Quality tab, select regular/Default Tray from the Paper Source drop-down menu, and then click Advanced.
Also, refer to the below document on how to change the printer settings.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
