My scanner was working fine until two days ago when it refused to save in JPEG format. The only option it offers is PDF which isn't taken by my bank. I've tried restart and repower. Nor will it let me override the file extension. HELP please?!

Hi,
Do you scan from the printer front panel?
If so, after clicking Scan > Computer and selecting yoru computer click the Save as PDF box and you will be provided with the option to select JPG instead (you may scroll the screen up or down), then tap Scan.
Else please clarify how exactly you're scanning.

Thanks, Shlomi, for responding. I scan from the computer. Everything is good until I try to save the picture. Then I find only the PDF option. I've never been successful scanning from the printer panel, so haven't tried for months. I've double checked my settings, but haven't found anything promising there. I've also tried rebooting and repowering to see if I can get it to reset as before.
Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

HI Jodee,
Do you scan from the HP Scan software?
Open the HP Officejet Pro 8620 software and select Scan a document or Photo? from these selete Saev as JPEG
Or may you use another software?
It will much help if you would clarify what exact steps you take to scan...te reason I ask, the described behavior is not quite common for HP software and therefore I assume you may ask from another software?
